Aane Alert is a community-run alerting system that warns residents, farmers, and estate workers when wild elephants move near villages, roads, and plantations — helping prevent dangerous encounters and crop loss across Kodagu.
An open, satellite-based read on landslide risk and land health across Kodagu.
Nela reads Kodagu's land from space every day and hands it back to the people who live here in plain Kannada. A community-owned AI language preservation initiative for Kodava Takk — record the voice, build the corpus, teach the machines our mother tongue.
Kodava Takk has no script in daily use — it lives in the voice, and UNESCO lists it as definitely endangered. Kodava Thakk preserves the language as sound: a community recording drive builds a 1,000-hour speech corpus under a Kodava data guardianship licence, open AI models learn to hear and speak Thakk from it, and the results return to the community as a talking dictionary, a listening archive, and Ainmane — an AI companion a learner can actually converse with.
